About The Lakewood Historical Society

The Lakewood Historical Society was formed in 1974 to restore, preserve, and share Lakewood's history. We maintain an active working partnership with the City of Lakewood in managing and supporting the Lakewood Heritage Center, Belmar Museum. Our newsletter, The Lakewood Historian, is published quarterly, with information on our activities and memories of old Lakewood and its people and places.
